I am excited to introduce myself ! I graduated from Loyola University in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After graduation, I had the honor of working in the domestic violence courthouse and at the third district police station, where I provided support to survivors of intimate partner violence. I also worked with families and young children in an early Head Start program, helping families access resources and ensuring that children that needed additional support were identified.

In 2013, I returned to school and earned a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016, with a concentration in Mental Health and obtaining a certification in evidence-based practices with children and adolescents. Following my graduation, I provided counseling across various settings to diverse age groups, including those involved with the DCFS system. After receiving my Clinical Social Work License, I opened my private practice, Paz Interior, in September 2020, focusing on working with folks struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, transitions and couples.  Although my career has centered on mental health, I have recently explored the intriguing connections between the body and mind. My curiosity grew from my own experiences and in researching my ancestors knowledge and common alternative practices. This led me to enroll in a Holistic Therapist Academy to learn how to support clients in new ways.

As a holistic therapist, I blend evidence-based modalities with energy healing practices like reiki, sound, meditation, yoga, and self-care strategies to help individuals restore balance, release emotional blockages, and reconnect with their true selves. I create a safe and compassionate space where women can explore their inner worlds, heal profoundly, and cultivate harmony in all areas their lives.
